Inspection of Public Records Act

Requests for records from the Third Judicial District Attorney’s Office are governed by the provisions of the Inspection of Public Records Act (IPRA), NMSA § 14-2-1 through § 14-2-12. Such requests must be in writing and should be sent to the custodian of records. The request must describe with particularity the information requested. They can be sent by mail, email or fax to:

If your request is sent by email, please put “IPRA” in the subject line. You will receive a written reply within three business days. Any copies provided may be subject to a reasonable fee. When you provide a check as payment, you authorize the State of New Mexico to either use information from your check to make a one-time electronic fund transfer from your account or to process the payment as a check transaction.
