Though our office is constantly filled with cases involving violent crimes we had to step back and realize that human trafficking is a whole other side. We were truly touched by this exhibit and we hope that you had the chance to attend. We saw, heard and experienced the stories of tragedy and triumph lived out. Over 28 million people are currently living through this horrific crime all over the world, yes, including the United States. One room was dedicated to fruit pickers in Washington state.
There are everyday things we can do to try and reduce the number of people that are basically kidnapped and conscripted into labor. Like what you may ask. Think about the products you purchase and where you purchase them from. Every little bit can make a difference.
