Our office is always able and willing to help any and all agencies in an effort to make Dona Ana County a better place to live, work and raise a family.  If we can be of any assistance, please just let us know!

Hello everyone,

My name is Vanessa Pacheco. I am the Program Specialist with the Unified Prevention Coalition. I would like to take this opportunity to offer everyone some training on Naloxone. Naloxone, also known as Narcan, is an antagonist drug used to reverse the effects of an overdose caused by heroin or opioids. When administered Naloxone, the toxins will be knocked out of the opiate receptors in the brain. This is a lifesaving medication. We have heard of situations where a child has overdosed. Naloxone can be used on children and pregnant women. It is simply imperative to call 911 after the medication is administered. Being that NM is number 8 in the nation for overdoses, it is important to pass along this education. Find my contact info below or in the flyer. Feel free to share with anyone you feel may benefit from the training.
